The Brief
There is nothing quite like a community movie night, but bringing the cinematic experience into the middle of a massive public park comes with distinct technical challenges. For this family screening of the hit movie IF, the organizers needed a massive, high-impact screen that could be viewed perfectly by a large crowd, regardless of the ambient twilight. Furthermore, because Batesford Reserve is a wide-open green space, the entire production needed to be entirely off-grid and self-powered.
The client needed an AV partner who could guarantee a flawless, high-quality viewing experience with a fast, non-invasive setup that wouldn’t damage the reserve grounds.

- Daylight & Twilight Visibility: Unlike traditional outdoor projectors that require pitch-black conditions to look decent, our high-brightness LED wall meant the vibrant CGI characters in IF looked spectacular and punchy even as the sun was still setting.
- Rapid Deployment: Because the massive 28sqm screen is trailer-mounted, our crew was able to drive it into position, hydraulically lift the screen, and have it fully operational in a fraction of the time it takes to build a traditional truss-supported screen.
- Uninterrupted Off-Grid Power: We supplied and managed a silenced, high-capacity generator. This ensured clean, stable, and quiet power for the massive LED wall and the audio system without drowning out the movie dialogue with engine noise.
