The Challenge
The 1975’s At Their Very Best tour was globally renowned for its highly intricate, cinematic “house” stage design. The primary challenge at Brisbane’s iconic Riverstage was translating the intimacy of this detailed, theatrical set to a sprawling outdoor amphitheater. The visual support needed to be massive enough to service the thousands of fans stationed at the very top of the venue’s famous grassy hill, but integrated enough so it wouldn’t pull focus from the band’s bespoke physical architecture. Furthermore, the outdoor setting required displays capable of punching through the harsh late-afternoon Queensland glare before transitioning flawlessly into the high-contrast night show.
